Our background
The VirtualExpo project is the creation of Corentin Thiercelin, an experienced engineer. His professional experience led him to notice that there was no useful tool to guide industry decision makers in their search for industrial equipment and components.

The VirtualExpo project
- From a business perspective, a computer-based tool is the most suitable solution for organising and classifying the thousands of products available on the industrial market.
- Based on this intuition, Corentin Thiercelin launched DirectIndustry in 2000, the group's first tradeshow, which brought together industry professionals from around the world in a single location.
- It was a bold project, because it focused on the internet well before it became fashionable to do so, when it was still a burgeoning technology, and from the outset it favoured an environmentally responsible approach.
Since then, the project has grown in scale. DirectIndustry has continued to develop internationally and three other shows have joined it: NauticExpo, ArchiExpo and most recently MedicalExpo, the latest addition to the Group’s portfolio of brands.
Today these 4 portals combined receive more than 7.4 million unique visitors each month.
